About James Lay
James has spent the past 18 years in the technology industry, primarily engaged with developing solutions and technology strategies for the financial services sector. In 2016, as part of a product development project for Boat Services (now Simplitium), James worked closely with a consortium of Insurtech focused businesses to build a catastrophe modelling platform that opened up the market to specialist model providers and broadened the choice of models available to the (re)insurance industry. 2 years later, the platform has developed into ModEx, with James as Commercial Director.
