The CATRisk Middle East quake model (CATRISKMEQM) is a stochastic earthquake loss model covering the entire Middle East region. The model considers stochastic event sets, vulnerability functions and exposure elements to calculate the estimated loss of an earthquake on an aggregated and site specific basis. This enables (re)insurers to conduct comprehensive assessments of the risk associated with earthquakes in the Middle East.
Cat Risk Solution’s Middle Eastern earthquake model covers Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
