Severe Convective Storm

The full tracks of each cyclone are modelled, including events crossing the coastline and those bypassing coastal regions. The Fathom US Flood Model achieves a resolution of 30m, while their bespoke models can be as fine as 0.5m. Working with researchers at the University of Bristol, Fathom's US30 model was compared to flood maps produced by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and United States Geological Survey. The data attained a very high level of fit to FEMA flood maps, capturing over 80% of the flooded area specified.
